Arriving on the Hornet-class USS Bombus for the last leg of my journey to the Orion star system's commerce zones I find myself also aboard a training ship that will eventually, and hopefully teach me what is expected to become Captain of my own ship for Task Force 72. I have been assigned to the Captain's quarters, although it is nothing that I had expected. However, I've had to bunk in far worse. It's a small price to pay when you want to achieve a goal in this life.

If I reach the goal I will be stationed at Esquimalt Station on another ship which I hope it an Akria-class because it is more conducive to my mission of diplomacy. Task Force 72 in in the Orion star system to help control outlaw activity in the star system's commerce zones. Heretofore the outlaws have been described as Breen and Tzenkethi strengthened by the Typhon Pact. They threaten to destabilize the peace that has lasted since the Dominion War. There also could be others in the area who would love to destabilize the area. The Romulan Renegades encountered just adjacent to the Typhon Expanse could have made the jump to the Orion star system. But I hope not... the Breen will be difficult enough to deal within peace talks with their cold temperature demands and clicking language.

I'm anxious to meet my crew, and hopefully we'll have a skillful diplomat aboard. Although, I have a sinking feeling that diplomatic duties will fall to the Captain... ME! Gees, that scares me more than the Breen, and with meeting the Captain today. I can only hope that he agreed that I could successfully Command a Command. He seemed to be a stickler for oddities. I couldn't get over the way he had the Conference room arranged. In this day and time, he had it fashioned in a old-school arrangement. which lead me to believe, he fought change, and that may not bode well for me, considering my answer to his question. Toni leaned back in the chair in which she had seated herself, pondering what fate awaited her.
